Shabbat on Bell Road: Summer BBQ

Community-Wide Tisha B’Av 5784

Monday, August 12, 2024 • 8:15 p.m. at CSZ
Tisha B’Av, the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av, marks the destruction of the First and Second Temples, as well as a variety of other tragedies throughout
Jewish history. Tisha B’Av is a full 25-hour fast day. This special service contains the recitation of somber melodies, the chanting of the Book of Lamentations, and other liturgical poems.

Bintel Brief Play

Tuesday, August 27, 2024 • 7:00 p.m.
CSZ is embarking on a unique theatrical project this summer! It is a stage reading of a book entitled A Bintel Brief, based on an advice column published in the Yiddish
speaking newspaper, during the early years of heavy Jewish immigration to the United States.
